Impressive

I can't stop listening to Imogen Heap's "Speak For Yourself" album. That girl can SING, wow. First album I've really LOVED on first listen... makes me want to check out her stuff as Frou Frou.

Oh yeah, and my UT3 Collector's Edition got here. Anticlimactic, after the UT2004 Collector's Edition being so awesome... the UT3 Collector's Edition was pretty pathetic. But whatever, I'm happy to have it. Time to get fragging!

Took me long enough...

But I finally finished Bioshock, after starting it on release day and leaving it untouched, 3/4 done, for months. My verdict? Exactly like System Shock 2, including the way it falls head over heels down a staircase and turns absolutely RETARDED near the end. The last 2 hours of that game were the most boring and least fun, just like System Shock 2 (Rickenbacker + BoTM). The ending cinematic was a little cheap, too, for a game I had just sunk quite a few hours into. The thing that bothered me the most was character advancement, though. It felt like I never really progressed at all, despite getting weapons upgrades, plasmids, etc... I never felt a sense of progress. Enemies were still laughable, and the wrench was STILL the best weapon, except against the final boss, who I might add, was piss-easy. Circle-strafe is all it takes, and he goes down like a sack of potatoes.
Oh well. I expected something better, I guess, but right now I'm just glad to be done with it. Too bad I'll never play it again.
